Trust in us to be your Ground Travel Specialist!
Happy drivers make the best bus drivers. When hiring and training a driver we first look for those that have a good personality and a good driving history. We put an emphasis in cultivating drivers to think about the customers experience first. You will always have a driver with good customer service skills. We do NOT put up with drivers that don’t take care of our customers.
Our experienced drivers know how to get you where you want to go. We have drivers that have been in all 48 continental states and all over Canada. We try to pair you up with a driver that has been where you’re going. All drivers carry GPS system with them and stay up-to-date with weather and traffic conditions. They do everything they can to get you to where you want to go safe and sound.
All of our drivers carry cell phones. You will have the name and phone number of the driver(s) before your trip starts. The group can use this to call the driver if they have any questions or if there is a change in the itinerary. They are there for your needs and want to do whatever they can to keep you and your entire group safe and more than satisfied.
Our drivers really do care about your group and their experience with us. They all go out of their way to make sure your groups every need or concern is answered in a timely and professional manner.
Simply put…We have the best drivers, hands down. You will notice the difference from the first time you meet them. He or she will be prompt to your pick-up. Your driver will be dressed professional, ready to take care of your group ne matter what they may need. They do this while staying legal with the DOT & FMCSA. All this to keep your group comfortable, happy, safe, and on time.
Our drivers go through two weeks probationary training previous to driving on their own. After that we continue their learning with mandatory safety and review meetings quarterly. During these meetings management reviews company policies, DOT laws, safety habits, health, customer service requirements, vehicle maintenance, and so much more. Our drivers go through these long and in-depth safety meetings quarterly to become better drivers (and because their mandatory). We do everything we can to ensure our drivers are armed with the knowledge and experience, to take care of your group no matter what your needs are.
An important part of our drivers training is learning the buses and motorcoaches, their vehicles pre-trips, and good preventative maintenance. We work with our drivers to make sure they have the proper tools and the knowledge to deal with small repairs that may come up unexpectedly. All this to ensure your receive the best service of any company around. No one else cares more about our passengers’ safety and comfort as the GTS staff and drivers.
You should know by now that the drivers we hire and how we train them leads to great service and an amazing travel experience for you. We guarantee it! We pay our drivers in the top 10 % of motorcoach companies around us. We do this to help retain talent, and in all honesty, to be able to be strict with the drivers and their performance. The motivation, tools, and resources we give our drivers ensure that you will be more than satisfied when choosing GTS.
Our drivers will always give you maximum effort. We have great training, high pay, amazing service support, and strict standards. When you do receive good service we do ask that you tip the driver. The driver’s tip is NOT part of the price you received unless it is expressly noted on the confirmation you received. This gratuity is not required per the contract, but it is highly suggested based on a job well done. The drivers do not expect a tip but do hope to receive one when they show up on time, look professional, and get you to your destination and back safe and sound. A lot of groups ask “what is a good tip for the drivers?” One dollar ($1) per person for short trips around town. $1.50 to $2.50 per person per day is more standard for full day charters or multi-day trips. They care about your group’s happiness. Please show them that you appreciate their efforts in making your trip a complete success.
